2. Who Can Use UnSent

You must be at least 17 years old to use UnSent. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

UnSent is a paid app with no free tier. Current pricing is listed in the App Store and within the app at the time of purchase. All subscriptions are managed through Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the cost of your chosen plan. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Price changes will be notified by Apple before your next renewal. You can cancel at any time through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. All refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. You may restore previous purchases at any time using the Restore Purchases option within the app.

4. Consent to AI Data Sharing

The Journal and Urge Interceptor features use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate supportive responses. When you first access either of these features, the app will present a consent prompt explaining that the text you write will be sent to Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, for processing. You may accept or decline. If you decline, you can still use all other features of the app. If you accept, your written content will be temporarily transmitted to Anthropic each time you use these features. You can change your consent preference at any time in the app's Settings. We do not send any other personal data to Anthropic beyond the content you write in these features.

5. App Shielding — Screen Time

UnSent includes an optional App Shield feature that uses Apple's Screen Time API to temporarily block social media and messaging apps during hours you define as vulnerable. By enabling this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

• you are voluntarily granting the app Screen Time permissions to enforce blocks you configure;
• the feature functions through Apple's Family Controls framework which requires a system-level permission prompt from Apple;
• we do not monitor, collect, or transmit any data about your app usage, Screen Time activity, or which apps are blocked;
• you can revoke this permission and disable the feature at any time by going to Settings → Screen Time on your iPhone; and
• this feature is a self-directed focus tool and does not involve any form of monitoring by us or any third party.

You are responsible for configuring this feature in a way that works for your situation. We are not liable for any access limitations caused by App Shield settings you have chosen.

6. Your Content

Your journal entries and urge interceptor content belong to you. We don't claim ownership over anything you write. As explained in our Privacy Policy and Section 4 above, this content is processed by Anthropic's API to generate AI responses only with your consent. Please don't enter anything legally sensitive or information about other identifiable people.

7. AI-Generated Responses

Responses generated by Claude AI are meant to be supportive and reflective, but they are not professional mental health advice, they may occasionally not be perfectly suited to your situation, and they should not replace human support. If you ever receive a response that feels harmful or inappropriate, please let us know at hello@tryunsentapp.com.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the app, use the app in any way that violates applicable laws, or attempt to interfere with the app's functionality or security.

9. Availability and Updates

We aim to keep UnSent running smoothly but can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may update or temporarily pause the service and will try to give advance notice of anything significant.

10. Intellectual Property

Everything in the app — design, copy, features, and branding — belongs to UnSent's developer. You're welcome to use the app but not to copy or redistribute any part of it.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

UnSent is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties about fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI responses, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including reliance on AI-generated responses or any effects of App Shield settings you have configured. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to disable access if you violate these terms. You can stop using the app at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting it.

14. Changes to These Terms

If we update these terms meaningfully, we'll let you know through the app or at tryunsentapp.com/terms. Continuing to use the app after an update means you've accepted the changes.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
